Will do my best to recap the past week:
Today 20th
- Out and about early this morning to take Mum and Nonie to the bus...I always leave it too late and stress them both to the max (thinking they'll miss the bus) poor things
- Straight to Ruth's to borrow her double pram - THANK YOU RUTH! so I could stay sane at my
- Specialist appointment to get my right ear checked again. The strange noise I get is still there (about 4yrs since it started) and the ENT specialist is going to put a grommet in my ear now to see if it makes any difference. That should happen sometime over the next 3 months or so
- Straight to TCH to visit our good friend Shannon who just had her first baby - Michael John. He's gorgeous and we had a nice visit. Josh was such a good boy at both the appointment and the hospital that I told him he could have a treat
- So I asked him what he'd like. He said a bird. I was baffled, and just told him he couldn't have a bird - maybe a donut or chippies (ever present health food again) etc...later as we were driving home he said something about his 'tweet' and mentioned a bird again and I realised he was thinking I meant tweet tweet as in bird noises. Goes to show he doesn't get treats much (not because he's too naughty, but because although I don't have anything against bribery generally, I prefer him to be good because I expect that...and not think that there'll always be a 'treat' for doing so...) So then I'm explaining the difference, and when I finished, he says very slowly, 'OHHH - I get it'!! It was hilarious (especially cause I don't think he really did get it! LOL)
- At home and just enjoying BEING HOME
- The electrician spent the whole day here putting up new lights and finishing off power points etc. I'm so excited, will have to take a photo of our new lights in the lounge/dining so you can see what I mean.
- Had our church AGM. Saw plans for our proposed building extension and there was talk of possibly changing the annual conference to some other time than the first week of January (peak season). Very cool
- Watched the movie 'The Freedom Writers'. LOVED it. I was disappointed in her husband, but other than that, it's definitely gotta be on my list of favourites (after all, it's a teacher movie!)
- Went to Federation Square to find a nice gift for Shannon (she was in labour at that stage) I LOVE shopping at Federation Square...they have the coolest stuff. This is one of my favourite shops - The Style Emporium - they don't have an actual website but the homepage gives an idea of what it's like. Another really cool one is the giftpod but they don't have a website at all :o(
- LOL - really can't remember! Might have to ask someone else around here to refresh my memory...!
- After church I went with Lisa to Federation Square (that's where I got the idea to go back there later in the week!) to pick up her bomboniere for her wedding. We also went to Civic...another place I love to shop!
- Our painter was here all day...can't WAIT till all the painting's finished! I was trying to have a sleep in cause Kai didn't sleep that well friday night. I thought Aaron was looking after Josh - he wasn't, he was helping prep stuff for the painter. Aaron thought I was looking after Josh - I wasn't, I was trying to SLEEP! So Josh entertained himself with the house paint that was being stored in Malakai's cupboard (the new expensive fitted out cupboards we just got put in..) he had a BLAST! There was paint ALL OVER HIM, and the cupboard and the carpet and the mirror doors on the front of the cupboard...Aaron dealt with the mess and I dealt with the child, thankfully it came off Josh in the shower pretty easy, Aaron had a bigger job and did it beautifully, you pretty much can't tell it was there unless we point it out. FUN FUN!
- Went to Andrew's 21st that evening. Was a really nice night out. Kai was a dream :o)
Catch ya!
