...I'm going to do the simple woman's daybook thing again :)
outside my window
agapanthus that need some attention, cloudy skies making me want to nap
i am thinking
that there are lots of bedroom changes around here :) Josh and Kai are now sharing! with more to come
i am thankful for
an early start to the day - time to read my bible uninterrupted (sort of). I've only got 1 month to go and I've finished reading it all the way thru :) God is GOOD
from the kitchen
rocky road that reminds me of my precious friend (It doesn't taste like yours tho :( it's your recipe but I obviously don't have the knack for it lol)
i am wearing
the clothes I wore to the gym
i am creating
with the colder weather I've pulled out my crocheting again and am keen to finish 2 blankets asap!
i am reading
no surprise here, One Thousand Gifts
but I did just finish a (christian) modern suspense kinda book that someone lent me, I really enjoyed it.
i am hearing
nothing except the ticking of the clock in the study - love it!
on my mind
thoughts about finishing all my craft projects (it's a bit overwhelming actually lol) and blueberry muffins ;)
around the house
a load of laundry in the dryer that needs folding, a brand new vacuum cleaner (YAY!!) that needs to finish off the bottom of the house for me ;) and a bed in transit
a few plans for the rest of the week
* parent/teacher interviews tomorrow night
* swimming lessons
* another session at the gym - maybe zumba?!
* work
* hopefully a catch up with a friend
Blessings to you all xox

simple daybook
Outside my window
It's dark and quiet - perfect for sleeping :)
I'm listening to
'Everything is Yours' by Audrey Assad (the whole album actually)
I'm wearing
My favourite black denim skirt, pink ruffled top and black cardi
I'm so grateful for
~ going out after church with friends
~ a successful first day of Year 1 for Josh
~ that my children have a granddad who loves to spend time with them - Malakai helped granddad with chainsawing today :)
~ fun times with some 'younger' friends over this afternoon - how can it be that I don't feel anywhere 10-15 (!) years older than them?
~ God's grace...more than enough for me (and oh, how much I need it)
~ this quilting book on special - Simplify - so I bought it ;) (but not from this website lol)
I find I could go on and on...and on...
I'm pondering
~ all that I'm reading in Feminine Appeal
~ my 'word/theme' for the year. Last year I felt like I was possibly off the mark with my word - delight. But as I look back on 2010, I can see that it was perfect. In a number of ways, but most importantly in the delight I found in God's word like I never had before. This year I can't get away from eternity, having an eternal perspective and being kingdom minded. I'm excited about it :)
~ health and weight loss!!
I'm reading
My bible in a year
Feminine Appeal
Also getting into these a little at a time
~ How to Make Brothers and Sisters Best Friends
~ Heaven at Home
~ Power Thoughts
~ the ACT bridging document for the new Australian Curriculum
and still waiting (not so) patiently for my One Thousand Gifts to arrive ;)
I'm thinking
about my desperate need for motivation and self-discipline
I am creating
Nothing - in a bit of a stalemate with that at the moment. Need to get organised :( and hopefully inspired when 'Simplify' comes in the mail.
On my ipod
Some seriously awesome genius mixes - love that feature
I am praying
that God's will be done and His kingdom will come in my life, and in the lives of those I love
Around the house
There is mess! And LOTS of laundry. Feeling a little overwhelmed by laundry!
Some plans for this week
'Tea and tissues' with the new kindy parents tomorrow :) that was me last year!!
A girly outing with Ella (unless a baby comes?)
Starting with my new class - I'm so excited!

simple woman's daybook
inspired questions from here
outside my window...a gorgeous blue sky, beckoning me to get outside and chop the dead flower heads off the agapanthus
i am thinking...i'd better be quick with this blog entry or i'll be late for pilates
from the learning rooms...learning how to share, be kind and 'take care of each other'
i am thankful for...a God who is faithful
from the kitchen...banana muffins & milk for morning tea!
i am wearing...stuff for pilates
i am reading...the first novel I've had a chance to pick up in ages...and it's taking a LONG time to read it in snippets, along with Shepherding a Child's Heart - which I am also reading slowly because there's a lot to absorb with that one
i am hoping...that I might make it to youth camp for one night...
i am creating...my 'dream' baby girl's bedroom
i am hearing...Josh watching Wall E
around the house...bits of 'lived in' mess that I will get around to tidying this afternoon
one of my favourite things...cadbury's 'black forest' chocolate...i am trying to be healthy...at times ;)
a few plans for the rest of the week...enjoying God, blessing Aaron, looking after the munchkins, team planning meeting at school, church, heater quote, sewing, and hopefully a bit of scrapping!
have a great week everyone!
