You really know that the year is in full swing when Josh's activities start again. Swimming lessons began today. I wasn't late!! YAY, getting better with that. (lol, we were RIGHT ON TIME but lets not split hairs here, I think I'll work on the 'not late' thing before I get anything crazy like being EARLY happening!)
We finally got around to getting the movie Ratatouille for Josh to watch. Although I didn't realise it was PG. I'm a bit funny about that. But it seems ok. I'm actually a little weirded out by the fact that it's about rats...!
And just some more 'Josh-isms':
*instead of saying 'giddy-up' (as in giddy-up horsey) he says kiddy-up.
* When he wants you to come with him so he can show you something or play with him, he says, 'come OM' and waves his hand to come with him. SOO CUTE
* He calls Banana's in Pyjama's the 'Blana's in Jama's' and I have to be careful not to call them blana's myself :)
* If I ask him to repeat himself cause I didn't hear/understand what he meant, he starts off again with, 'I TOLD YOU...' I've been putting a stop to this, cause it's actually quite rude but was initially funny!
* He sings 'Bah bah black sheep, have you any WOOLS' everytime.
* When he had cheerios, he would call them 'Old MacDonald's' (as in the farm)...I have no idea why.
So it's my first day with the kids at school tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. Should be a good year.
Josh is being so delightful at the moment. It's great, and kinda hard to believe that he's almost 3yrs and 4months old, and he's toilet trained, can feed himself, talks REALLY REALLY well (including lovely manners - most of the time!), is making good friendships and learning to be gentle :) Can you tell I'm really proud! lol
And it's awesome to see Kai growing up, starting to see his gorgeous personality emerge. He's getting himself around HEAPS, almost crawling which is a bit scary! He can roll both onto his tummy and back again now, and like a little caterpillar he wriggles himself where he wants to go.
I love it! What a blessing. I'm so grateful to God. Like my friend Nat put it, I'm grateful that right now, there's not only no spot fires to put out, nuthin's even smokin'
Have a blessed wednesday
