It was such an AWESOME day. I really enjoyed myself. Especially in the folk dancing! lol, we did the chicken dance and every now and then some brave kids got the chance to 'modify' it by doing a move that came from their country and everyone had to copy. They did a super job! I was so proud :) We also did the heel & toe polka and something I can't remember the name of...oh and the hokey pokey!! That was the best :)
The Canada session was run by a couple of people from the high commission. I was unprepared for how 'Canada homesick' it would make me. Natty - the guy kept saying GOOD JOB and it reminded me SO much of you :) might have to give you a call soon hon ;)
I started thinking of hockey games...ohhhh how I LOVE a good hockey game! Ben I am SO looking forward to one day getting to that game you said you'd take us to. And how the first time I walked to school in the snow I thought (seriously) that I was gonna freeze totally solid and die. The smell of a skunk (so bad). PEI...feeling so excited that I was actually in the place that inspired Anne of Green Gables (which I really should add to my list of favourite movies cause I LOVE IT!!) Wow...I really shouldn't start thinking about it cause it's torturous.
Here's some pics of when we went there in 2006:

Here's me and Josh by the bridge that joins mainland atlantic Canada to PEI. It's something like the longest bridge in the world? Maybe?
This gorgeous house was part of a kind of re-creation of Avonlea. Josh & I went here with Ben and Joanne and their ADORABLE kids and had such a fantastic day. We even saw a pig race :)
One of the shops was of course a raspberry cordial place that sells actual raspberry cordial (not the alcoholic stuff like the movie lol).

Keltie, Grace and Josh in the buggy. You get to dress the kids up and take your own pics - SUCH a good idea! So you don't have to pay someone else to do it when you've already paid to get in. Doesn't Grace look gorgeous in that wig!!
Might continue this stroll down my Canadian memory lane tomorrow...

In the winter it's the world's longest bridge over ice.
