ready, get set: GO!!

So today is the day :) lots of scrapping! Josh is off to day care, Mum's taking Malakai out for the day and I'm gonna get some serious memory preservation done.

I've got Josh's latest album all full of the pics I wanna do today...Malakai's album might take a bit more time but my thought is that whatever I get done today is a little more than yesterday and that's great! I might even just get lots of bare bones pages done, and spend some time tomorrow adding embellishments/finishing off journalling & titles etc. We'll see. Most of all, without sounding like a try-hard (!) I just wanna actually enjoy it, be creative and have fun!

I've had my 'blog fix' as I call it ;) and now need to be fairly strict about not spending too much time on this computer.

But before I go...a thought about the lesson from home group last night. It was about forgiveness.

Forgiveness should be like breathing to us, it is so essential to our well-being. I have had several very difficult situations where I've needed to forgive (ranging in relationship from immediate family to close friends to those in authority) and at times it's been easier than others.

I think it's really important to check what we're entertaining in our mind when it comes to the person we need to forgive. I know I find it all too easy to replay any yukky experience and get mad all over again. I also sometimes find myself practicing 'giving them a piece of my mind'!! lol, it sounds crazy. And when it comes to effectively letting go and truly forgiving, it's the worst possible thing. I like what Cheryl really brought out in the lesson, how much we need to see the person for who they are, not what they've done.

Sometimes forgiveness seems like it'll never happen, but Praise God who makes all things possible for us. I've seen Him restore several relationships I thought were destroyed beyond repair. And I know He's still working miracles right now.
