Communities @ Work put on this festival in Tuggeranong today and I'd actually heard about it before it happened (instead of after which is more the norm for me!) so we planned to go as long as everyone was better - and we were!! It was excellent, we had such a wonderful time. And the amazing thing? EVERYTHING was FREE! Sure, the flyer said 'free family event' but I assumed that meant only free entry. Nope - the only thing we paid for all day was lunch. Cool huh.

Josh and I on the teacup ride. As we were going around we were both saying 'WEEEEE' and having such a cool time...somehow it makes it so much more fun being on these things with your kids and hearing them say, 'This is so much fun!'.

There were various stalls giving away balloons and lots of other stuff. We came home with our share of helium balloons and free stuff. I thought these little play areas were a great idea too.

Josh and I at the petting zoo. It was really hard to get photo's in there, lots of people and kids running around! Those animals are SO patient!
Malakai and Mummy having a little smooch :)
There was even PONY rides (altho Josh chose to ride the Donkey!! apparently a lot of boys choose the Donkey cause she's bigger than the cute little ponies) I reckon the pony ride, teacup ride and the jumping castle slide thing were the highlights of the day for Josh, altho there would have been a lot of close 2nd's.

I love days like today, just enjoying each other's company and making memories. Oh yeah, and Aaron spoiled me with a sleep in AND ham and eggs in bed this morning! (but then I chose to come and eat them downstairs with everyone rather than on my own upstairs! lol)

Sounds like you had fantastic day. The photos are really lovely. Were the boys exhausted afterwards?
I must of had one of your moments Kylee - I didn't hear about that at all :( it looks like so much fun, my kids would have loved that. Perhaps we all need to email one another when cool free stuff is on (so the blondes dont miss out)!!
Looks like SO much fun!! How cool - donkey rides!!!!
I know how you feel Kirsty, I get frustrated when I hear about cool things that I've MISSED!! lol, sure I'll try and maybe post them on my blog if I know about them beforehand, does that sound ok? Don't be surprised if there's not much tho lol!!
And yeah Heather, the boys were pretty tired at the end of the day, but I gotta admit I was more tired than they were...not surprising really ;)
