*sigh*

Malakai is officially a 1yr old now.

I was reading til about 2am this morning (very naughty). And it just so happened that right at the end of the book it was really sad, so I was all blubbering etc. That always makes me wanna hug those that mean the most to me, so I went and kissed Josh and sat watching him sleep for a minute, then went in to do the same with Malakai...except he woke up and sat up in his cot staring at me :) so I just had to pick him up and cuddle him for the longest time ;) He's such a cuddler, and I shamelessly LOVE IT. I was thinking too, that it was the last moments before he officially turned one and I wanted to enjoy them as long as I could.

We had a really special time of opening presents with him before dinner tonight. Josh was fantastic with letting Kai have his birthday time, although definitely wanted to 'share' in his presents :) and he blew the candles out on the cake cause Kai still has no idea. When I got him to write in his birthday card (Josh chose a truck as the gift he gave his brother) he wanted to say, 'I love you' and reminded me to write it down just in case I forgot. So precious.

We're all slowly getting better around here. Lots of nasty sounding coughing going on tho. Oh yeah, I got a new mobile phone too :) my other one COMPLETELY died on me so it was a good excuse ;) trouble is, it's HOT PINK!! lol, we wanted to get the special deal and it meant the hot pink phone. Now as you all know, I love pink with a passion, but even I think hot pink it's a little over the top. But I'm sure it'll grow on me.

Speaking of pink, mum bought her first outfit for the baby this week. So cute, little pink dress with butterflies on it. I've never really been a huge fan of butterflies, but lately (like this past week) I've been really getting into the whole idea of how they transform from something pretty ordinary/ugly into amazingly magnificent creatures and fly. The picture of new life (and the parallel to what happens to us through our relationship with Jesus) has really caught my attention...to the point of me thinking I might even decorate the baby's room with a butterfly theme. It's a thought anyway :)

All this birthday partying has made me tired...I'm off to bed.
