Wow...no routine today and boy did it show. I have been really really worn out the past few days, and so the little routine we did have has kinda slipped...away...completely...

so this morning was this weird mix of productive and chaotic. I got the 2nd drawer totally cleaned out. Do any of you have a '2nd drawer' (aka the 'junk drawer' or the dumping place for things that either don't have a home yet or the home is the shed and you can't be bothered going out there just now...)?
well, it wasn't on the plan (see yesterday's post) so basically it comes under the 'chaotic' heading for this morning. but I guess I have to admit it was productive too cause it really needed doing, and adds to my random spring cleaning efforts...
only i totally lost track of time and then didn't make it to ladies prayer :( I was pretty irritated with myself about that.
AND THEN I found I needed to move some of the stuff from the drawer to a new permanent place...and so the big linen/pantry cupboards in the eating/living area also got totally cleaned out. unbelievable. perhaps you could call this nesting. except I have been known to completely lose my faculties and do this sort of thing while very 'un-pregnant' so i really don't know. My cupboards look fantastic, and I went 'label-mad' again. I LOVE IT.
but everything was nuts around here for a while and that's the kind of thing I really DON'T love. Both boys were kinda recovering from immunisations yesterday (just a little grumpy and out of sorts). and Kai has several teeth coming thru at once :(
so mum and I did the obvious thing - we went shopping :)
talk about chaos! Josh wet his pants so we had to detour to DFO and grab a new pair (grrr - he never does that anymore!) and then while we were trying to enjoy a leisurely visit at Koorong, the boys had other ideas.
Anyway, thru all this I have learned that I need to get back into routine - BADLY!! and not to get distracted - despite how 'good' things seem at the time.
All this screams SELF DISCIPLINE at me. Not my favourite thing :( so now I'm going to do some painting, like I'd planned.

what Labeller do you use? I really need to put labels on things around here. Like "Matthew" and "Lauren" (The labels will stick to skin??? won't they?) I am turning into my mother. Shouting every name I can think of before getting the right one... Bad thing is I only have two kids!!
Plus I need to label some shelves and drawers.
lol :) i have a pink (surprising eh) brother labeller, but i ran out of tape so I'm being slack and using mum's dymo labeller cause she has tape (but probably not for long with all the label crazed things I've been doing lately!) I like both but possibly slightly prefer the font on the brother one. either way it really doesn't matter unless ur anal about those sorts of things (lol, like me)
I totally know what that feels like! It's such a terrible feeling yet we allow ourselves to fall into the trap - strange hey?
