About to head out to take Kai to the Dr and for his immunisations (he's on a catch up schedule so he's got some now and some more at the end of the month - then he's all caught up :)
He's been on antibiotics for a chest infection all this week so the Dr will need to make sure he's ok to have the immunisations today too.
WOW, this morning was very different from yesterday morning, and reminds me of why a routine and sticking to a schedule is so important to me. Since I'd gotten to bed late, I tried to have a 'little' sleep-in. Well, that threw both the boys out of whack (as indicated by their behaviour :(
So anyway...Dr said no prob with the immunisations so we're off...back later!
...added later...
I don't do well with needles for myself...so I'm pretty shockin when it comes to the kids having them :( but all went well regardless and Kai is almost all caught up.
Did some shopping at Aldi. I'm such a fan of aldi lol!
Earlier this morning, before Josh went to school, he brought something upstairs to show me. So I have a close look at what he's holding between his thumb and forefinger and it's a spider. Now I'm not terrified by spiders like I used to be (having plastic ones all over the place here you get used to not freaking out so much...) but I definitely have a healthy respect for them. So when my baby is holding one (it was alive too, by the way) I well...i freaked out. It landed on the floor and was 'dealt with' swiftly by me. Then I have a nice calm chat with Josh about how we don't pick them up etc despite the fact that my heart is still racing and I can't stop saying praise God that it didn't bite him.
Anyway
A much needed nap around 1.30ish while Kai is sleeping. Then off to get my licence renewed (ewww photo) drop off some dry cleaning for Aaron and do some last minute shopping. Pick up Josh from day care (like yesterday, he wants to keep playing. I'm so glad he enjoys it). Get home to Aaron cooking bbq for dinner (yes, he's wonderful) then spend time getting organised for tomorrow's party :)
Not many photo's taken today...feeling a bit slack in that area. Will put up what i do have tomorrow sometime.
Thanks to those who've left nice comments while I've been doing this 'week in the life' thing. If you're reading Ali's blog too, what she said about the things she loves about doing this is so true. It really does make you think so much more specifically about what you're doing with your time. Like I realise I haven't done ANY exercise (and likely won't). And have been thinking about that this week. It's also made me take more photo's - surprisingly I've hardly taken any lately. Only on 'special occasions'. I enjoy the focus on celebrating 'everyday moments' that this project has brought.
Oh yeah, yesterday i also got some stuff to help me put all this together in real life. I bought the lil davis vanderbilt chipboard album, and these flocked chipboard words (except mine say 'love', 'always', 'forever', 'family', 'moments', and 'our life') plus the matching ribbon. So basically I have no excuse not to get myself organised and put it together in the next couple of weeks ;)
I'll be seeing some of you guys tomorrow - yay!!!
