randomness

  • I love that I'm down to 69 days til baby3. At the risk of going on and ON about it, I'm still a little...perhaps nervous that it's a girl. Still dealing with the idea of dolls (some of the ones i've seen in the shops are really scary/ugly looking! lol) and (this will shock some of you) having a love/hate relationship with the whole pink thing. Should I go crazy nuts with pink and possibly end up hating the colour because of overload??! And (even more shocking) I'm actually liking some other colours and colour combinations now...such terrifying new territory :p what I need to do is find a baby's room that I LOVE and can just copy...lol. If you see anything feel free to send the idea my way!
  • Josh turned FOUR yesterday. wow. part of me wants my baby back (only a very small part) but most of me is just so amazingly proud of him. We had a really nice family dinner last night, complete with GG (great grandma) and both sets of grandparents. I'm more and more grateful that they live close to develop strong relationships with the kids while they are young. Trying not to feel sad about the fact that they have no cousins...and the one they do have is at the moment completely lost to us. But trusting that God is indeed in control of that too, like everything else
  • So grateful for the little reminders of God's love. I was thinking that I'd like to try and make taco seasoning from scratch today...and when I checked google reader (like I do every day, it's my new best friend!! lol) there's a post on simplemom that has a recipe for taco seasoning. This might appear like nothing to someone else, but for me it's a kiss from heaven. Making my day just a little easier :) i love the little things God does for me, as well as the awesome big things!!
  • Went to the canberra centre for the first time in ages. It's a very good thing that it's quite a distance from our house or we'd be perpetually broke! Had a quick look at aesop, where michelle got my new favourite hand cream for me for my birthday (thanks michelle, I love it!) and bought a couple of things from kikki.K, where mel got some gorgeous things for me for my birthday too! thanks mel! Also got some tea for Aaron from T2...oh wow, we were only there for an hour i think, and it was very dangerous. I didn't even go into seed ;) definitely saving up for another trip in there before christmas...without the kids!
  • Off to my baby appointment now, taking Josh with me so he can hear the heartbeat :) then off to prayer at church.

Have a blessed day everyone :)

I love colour combos - I always have. As much as pink is not my favourite colour, I think a white room with touches of pink for a little girl looks soooooo lovely (I'd probably have touches of green ... maybe even pink and green!)

As for cousins, my children have them and we have to deal with the whole "favouritism" thing. Unfortunately, my kids happen to be the targets. They don't know about it, thankfully, and so their attitudes are unaffected, but it is a downside to having cousins!!

Having said that, the cousins are all good friends. And it's really only the adults that have the issues. I wish the adults all knew how much God loves them and how He doesn't have favourites, but they don't wanna know ...

Sorry ... what a mopey comment!! Mind you, if I was really, really sorry, I wouldn't submit it ...

lol Heather! I'm glad you weren't really really sorry ;)

I love pink and green too :)

I think it's wonderful the way kids make friends and are (generally) unaffected by any other issues. I remember having lots of fun with my cousins and second cousins.
