gratitude

I don't even know where to start. It has honestly been one of 'those' days. And I honestly just wanna sit here and whinge my little heart out. I want to SO BADLY!!!!!!!! lol

But HONESTLY - that's not REALLY what I wanna do.

I once spent the day with someone (a very long time ago, and I can't remember their name!) who spent that WHOLE DAY complaining. Now, seriously, if you'll ever indulge me, I don't mind having a good whinge. But I've never forgotten how I felt about that person that day. And ever since that day it's been a goal of mine to never get that bad - regardless of whether it's warranted or not.

So what's the antidote for a day like today? Focussing on my blessings (which is what this blog is for anyway!) - cultivating an attitude of gratitude.

And so, I also think I have my 'theme' for next year: gratitude

and just a couple of things I'm grateful for today:
  • a supportive husband...who made zucchini balls for dinner tonight (oh my goodness YUM!)
  • chocolate...lots and lots of chocolate...chocolate milk, blocks of chocolate, hot chocolate, chocolate biscuits...ok, you get the picture!
  • panadol :)
  • spending wonderful time with the boys playing 'adventures'
  • a thoughtful friend who offered practical help when I really needed it
  • great friends at work
  • hearing my baby's heart beat
  • reading this and feeling a little less alone in the difficult side of mothering - and so very encouraged (and just a little convicted...!)
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
