I started getting excited when we went together to buy school shorts and a hat just before our holiday. Then on monday 2nd Feb, the day arrived that my (not-so-little-anymore) boy went to preschool. He was excited and a little nervous too. I asked him the sunday before he went whether he was scared or not, and he said yes. I was surprised, and asked why. He said he was scared of the friends there. I asked him if he meant he was scared cause he didn't know the other kids very well, and he said yes. So I told him that they were just people he didn't know that would become his friends. He seemed ok with that answer, and on the monday he was totally fine - ran off playing no trouble at all.
The school shirt they wear wasn't available til just before school monday morning (and I forgot to take the camera with me to school!! I can't believe how slack I've gotten with taking photo's!), so we got picks of him in his uniform and spiderman shirt, and then again when he had the correct uniform.
Doing a typical Josh pose :)
He loved the first week - altho on the thurs he had to come to me for a hug at one stage during assembly. His teacher handled it really well and there were no tears (until I got in the car...!)
...am trying not to think about how this time next year he'll be in kindy full-time!...
