This week has been crazy. I like that word. I use it a lot.
Aaron was away fishing from thurs-sun last week and that time went like a blur to me. I helped sew bags, I met up with a wonderful old school friend whose little girl is 3 wks younger than Ella and we spent the day eating, catching up and shopping, I took care of my 3 gorgeous munchkins with wonderful and much appreciated help from mum, I started on Ella's thank you cards (finally!) and many other things too 'routine' to mention here ;)
Monday was one of those days where you feel like you're doing heaps but nothing is getting done. Those days make me feel crazy.
Tuesday really WAS crazy! Cause I have no memory I forgot I was going to morning tea (and looking forward to it, despite the fact that I didn't remember it!) so I booked the car in to get new tires, joined a pilates class and actually wrote my work meeting on the calendar. Somehow (God's grace maybe? definitely) I got all that done. And another big thanks to my mum.
Wednesday Josh was a little unwell so we skipped swimming and went to the Canberra Centre for some retail therapy. I bought a $4.95 piece of paper. Parking was $4.50. Not very therapeutic. Altho Josh and I had an awesome time together and I wish I could remember all the cool things he said to me over the day :)
Thursday Aaron was home sick. Mum and I took Ella and Kai over to Federation Square to try the retail therapy thing again. It was awesome. I had such a nice day. The kids were great. The shops were...well, therapeutic! lol Our lunch was DELICIOUS. The weather was great. And I got stuff for Ella's room. YAY!! Getting closer to having it done and sharing it with you all on here :)
Friday I actually had several hours with just Ella and I at home. What a huge blessing. I got some small things off the 'to do' list.
Saturday was crazy again! We had some follow up to do with the cars new tires so we squeezed that in before our first family photo with ella at 10am. Mum was feeling sad about having no nice clothes so I said we could go check out DFO if she liked. So us girls (mum, ella and I) went and in the end I bought just as much as mum!! I've been saving birthday/Christmas/spare money for a while to update my wardrobe from maternity to 'not having anymore kids'. So we both got 3 nice new things each. Got home just in time to feed ella and then head out to a really nice pot luck dinner...except Aaron was still so sick I had to leave him at home. Poor guy. Any prayers for him are much appreciated.
I have had this post in drafts since last week cause life got crazy again and I couldn't finish it. This week I am really determined to take it a little slower. Enjoy the journey a little more. Hope you all have a great week too :)
