proud mummy moment...?

Josh had only been at school a week or two when he did this painting - it was around Valentine's Day and they were asked to paint something for someone they love.

When I first looked at it I thought - typical Josh. He's never really been into drawing (scribbling) and only loves painting cause he can make a huge mess (altho I remember finger painting as my all-time favourite preschool activity! I loved the feeling of squishing paint in my hands).

Anyway, I couldn't help but ask him on the way home the question I've heard you're not supposed to ask, 'What is it darling?' and you know what he said?

It's the cross where Jesus died for our sins

I was so proud of him, and more than a little disappointed at my quick judgement of him.

I am enjoying him SO MUCH at the moment. He makes me laugh out loud constantly and is just such a cool little guy. God really overflowed my cup when He gave me Josh.

Am a tad bit jealous. Matthew doesn't bring anything home :( Gorgeous painting. He is such a beautiful boy!

Doesn't it just thrill your heart?? I loved watching Josh dance with Aaron during the worship service last night.

thanks guys! isn't it funny tho, the day after I wrote that post he gave me a really hard time. isn't it always the way?! but it doesn't matter how much of a hard time they give us, it never changes the love we have for them eh. Not one bit :)
