- As of next week I'll be working full time for 6 weeks :) I am a bit nervous cause I haven't worked full time since before Josh was born...pretty much 6yrs ago! But knowing it's only for a set period of time I'm also looking forward to it. I've been spending a bit of time this week getting meals in the freezer so that I can try to make life easier on all of us. My wonderful mum has taken a whole month off in order to look after Kai and Ella. Aaron will then share looking after them for the last 2 weeks. I also get to teach in the brand new building at school :) SO excited about that! Kinda makes me wish I was going full time permanently so it was really my room and my class...ok, maybe I'm not THAT excited!
- I can't get over how much the kids are growing. It really seems like as soon as we buy clothes for them, they've outgrown them already! I am enjoying everything about being home and raising my babies so much this year :) I just want to hug and smooch on them all the time! I am grateful for this precious time, children truly are a blessing from the Lord.
- I had a crazy shopping spree today!!! I seriously NEVER really do that. I am normally pretty restrained lol, at least when it comes to spending money on clothes or shoes for myself all at once. Well, today I kinda went a little 'shopaholics anonymous' and had a ball :) of course the best thing is that it was all on sale ;) love me some sales!!
- Winter has officially started. I need deliverance from my negative feelings about winter! I just keep thinking, 'It's only 3 months - then SPRING!'
- In order to keep busy and not think about how I really don't like winter anymore, I've started another knitting project :) I'm still working on my crochet granny squares, and now I'm knitting a moss stitch scarf - in PINK of course. Mum bought me the most beautiful knitted scarf from Casaveen while she was in Tasmania recently visiting friends and touring around. It's a gorgeous red colour and I got inspired to make a pink one that is similar. I had started a really pretty pink and green cardi for Ella but she's grown so fast that the size I was making wouldn't fit her by the time it was finished :( very demoralising! So I pulled that apart and mum's going to knit it into a different cardi in a bigger size lol. I want to do some sewing projects, including making something to go with my dress for a masquerade party coming up, but I think all that will have to wait til the school holidays now :)
I hope all is going well with everyone...I'm a bit of a sporadic blogger - sorry!

Just remember, your winters could be worse, you could be here during our winters which last closer to 5 months than 3!
Good luck at work! The kids will love you.
oh Ben...you're so right!!! Yikes, I'm not sure how I'd go with winters over there anymore :) maybe that's the decider on when we should come to visit - definitely summer lol. But I'd love a white Christmas, and hockey games...and snow angels...maybe that's why I don't like our winters? We get the cold but nothing fun like snow :( lol
