Recently I went out for the nicest dinner with a whole bunch of women from my church. We had such a great time and I really hope we do it again :) at one stage during the night I was confessing my recently developed fabric obsession and comparing it to what happened to me with scrapbooking. I tried to avoid both. I used to just happily cross stitch and embroider and avoid everything else. Because I know what I'm like. I tend to obsess over new things! So here I am, wasting time when I should be working on school stuff, looking for a quilt to fulfill one of my goals this year - make a quilt...you know, like a 'real' one lol!
Bare feet only by SweetwaterSo here are some quilts that I like (only a very small sampling of what I like!) as I try to narrow it down to just one...and well, this will probably take me more than a year, cause after I FINALLY pick the pattern, then I have to choose the fabric...

Pure Happiness by SweetwaterThis one is close to being my favourite. The fabric in the middle of each square is ruffled! LOVE IT! Love the blue and brown too.

But I love the flowers in this one! Of course I'd do it in a different colour ;)
So yeah...my latest obsessions - reading and 'trying to' quilt. Now I'll stop procrastinating and get some work done before I sample the naughty (choc pudding) treat Aaron has baking in the oven!! YAY!

Funny because I'm going through exactly the same thing. I will hopefully update my blog with some favs too. :)
there was a dinner for church ladies?? a whole bunch?? Guess I wasn't invited :(
Sounds good Ruth!
Anonymous, I'd love to chat with you about it - don't want you to feel like you were excluded! That was never anyone's intention. It was mainly aimed at women who have young kids since we don't really get the (uninterrupted!) chance to catch up most of the time. Please contact me via phone or email.
I bought some charm packs of the latest fabric range from French General (my favourite) and have the best pattern for a quilt for Audrey. I have to get cracking on my other quilt forst though... I love just looking at my fabric! :)
