last night ariella told me she was going to draw a mouse...so I watched her scribble and told her that was a cute mouse. She then threw me a filthy look and said, 'That's a cow!'
What a whirlwind it is around here sometimes :) I am so grateful for all that God has blessed me with. I was particularly blessed over the weekend to be reminded of many things that I'd let go in my parenting by Mel Hayde. I just LOVE how practical she is.
Of course today I was all geared up to 'tighten' things up regarding my routine - and it was wonderful. Don't get me wrong...we had a very normal day. But the difference today (and in the last few weeks actually) was in ME. And I achieved some things today that have been on my heart for a very long time and I was just so blessed to finally get my act together! Although, sometimes it feels like I'm not getting anywhere. I spoke with Kai and Ella about the Love God/Love Your Neighbour thing, and TWICE i tried to get them to tell people (first Nanna, then Daddy) what we'd worked on and TWICE they gave me nothing :( but I have faith that God's word does not return void...so I'll keep going lol
Before my eyes Malakai is growing right out of that 'older toddler' stage and into a preschooler. I'm really trying to enjoy every moment (unfortunately, I don't always) knowing that the time is flying by and I'm powerless to stop it. As I look toward enrolling him into preschool, I laugh at the me I was when I did this with Josh. And I'm relieved that I've relaxed a bit ;)
...well, sleep is calling to me, night all :)

Lauren is looking forward to malakai coming to school :) She went back to school monday, I told her I was keeping her home and she could go back Thursday. She determindly got herself dressed for school and told me "Ms M... will miss me". Glad she loves it.
Don't worry about them not repeating the lesson. They learnt it. I once told Lauren to tell J what she learned during our devotions and she said "Don't pick your nose, it's grose"
:)
