Mt Taylor

I walked up Mt Taylor this afternoon :) and it was HARD. There were moments when I just had to focus on breathing and putting one foot in front of the other. It helped to have two people with me, cheering me on, encouraging me that I could do it (I secretly felt like I was on the biggest loser lol!) although having them there also meant that I couldn't just stroll up the mountain, it was definitely a WORKOUT!!!

I'm glad I did it. I'm glad I'm still moving along with this healthy eating/exercising 'fad' as one friend called it. But I pray it's not a fad, I really do want this to be my new normal. I bought heavier weights today (which might sound impressive til I say that I went from 1kg to 1.5kg!) but every little bit counts. I got some new workout DVDs by Jillian Michaels and they're hard as well! I haven't been able to get through a whole workout of hers yet :( but thats another mini goal. My last mini goal was to make it through the whole ab workout on my Michelle Bridges DVD and I did that a couple of weeks ago :) WOO HOO!
