This afternoon I went to the Hyatt for high tea with the girls from work. It was a chance to catch up and farewell a colleague who is going to the U.S. to study...and I have been SO looking forward to it ever since we discussed it several months ago lol! I decided to write it off as a non-WBT day, and it's back on the proverbial wagon for me tomorrow. I enjoyed so much of the delicious food that I'm worried I've put back on the 8kg I've lost!

As we head into week 9 of the 12WBT I'm revisiting my goals. I'm so excited - I achieved something this week that I NEVER thought I would do - I ran (jogged!) 1km without stopping!!! I've never been into running, and I never thought something like this would mean so much to me, but I literally could not wipe the smile off my face for AGES afterward. I wanted to bottle the feeling of accomplishment and exhilaration :) and I told myself I must remember how I felt in order to push myself in the future.
Achieving this made me realize that it's really important to set fitness goals (in addition to weight loss goals) in order to keep it interesting and challenging. One goal I'm considering is that I'd love to run the 5km Canberra Times fun run...that's definitely a challenge! but I'm thinking it's possible to do it, and it would be such a thrill to achieve a goal like that!
Anyway, another goal is to get to sleep earlier, so I'd better finish up ;)
