A girl I taught last year recently lost her mother (she's 11yrs old) to cancer. Her mum had been sick for 6yrs. My heart breaks for her, losing her mother so young. Please pray that God will be her strength and comfort and provide people in her life to 'mother' her when she needs it.
And just today I found out from a sweet little girl (she's in my class this year) that her mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She's due to go in for surgery in a couple of weeks. Please pray for this family too. The girl in my class seems to be 'ok' with the whole thing at the moment, but I also taught her older sister who is not coping as well. I can't imagine how they must feel. But I know that God can make the difference, and so can we - through prayer.
