I just read this (really long) post on Matt Maddix's blog. It's a great reminder of the importance of getting our priorities right.
I really appreciated the way he put it about funerals and grieving - most of the people that come to our funerals will be sad/mourn only (relatively) momentarily, but our FAMILY will never truly get over it. God will help them thru it of course, but I believe it's true that when you lose a loved one it isn't something that you ever really 'get over'. What a reminder of how valuable our family is.
So often I tell Josh that I'm busy and have things to do. And I think about how people say they used to do that and they regret it now that their kids are older...somehow I've convinced myself that I won't feel that way - but why wouldn't I?
I also started reading the post about being healthy...yikes that didn't sit so well with me!! But I have been thinking I need to get more serious about being healthy...
So maybe it's a time for a little 're-prioritizing'?
