so...incredibly...sick

yesterday at around 4pm I got a call at work to say that Josh had just vomited so could I come pick him up from day care please.

I left everything (as you do) in a big 'working' mess and raced over to get my baby. I figured he just had an upset tummy and would be fine once mummy was there to comfort him.

So began (what is now 24hrs and still going) the rampage of the gastro bug thru our home.

Josh vomited until after midnight, when he finally fell asleep from pure exhaustion on the mattress on the floor next to our bed.

Around 10pm I started to feel yuk, but thought it was just because I was tired from constantly caring for Josh.

Nope (wishful thinking huh?!) - it was my turn. Not a pretty sight. I have been debating whether to put details (so in future when I'm only a 'little' sick I can look back and say - no way, I was WAY more sick then!! lol) but I think it might put you off your dinner (it's well and truly put me off mine!).

Suffice to say that since my wonderful husband cannot hear me call for the bucket whilst I'm on the toilet dealing with one issue (in the very early hours of the morning), the floor must step in and be made use of. 'nuf said

Then about 5am it was clear that it was Aaron's turn. And when I crawled down to see if mum had anything to help, it was also her turn.

It's the kind of bug that renders you completely out of action. I couldn't even walk up the stairs (I actually had to crawl) this morning. There's nothing to be done but drag oneself from the bed to the bathroom and back again - many many times.

Praise God tho - Josh hasn't vomited since about 2pm. I seem to be slowly on the mend (I can actually sit at the computer!) but Aaron's pretty knocked out. He and mum are at the dr right now.

Please pray for us. We probably won't be at church since you're not supposed to go anywhere til 48hrs after the final symptom and believe me, nobody wants to catch this!

Have a good weekend all :)
P.S. Thanks Teresa for dropping off the extra lemonade :) we appreciate it

sorry you aren't well. horrible when you are all down with it - at least Dave and I only had 24 hours of nausea - our poor bubs had it for a week though.
