...well, of course it's inconclusive. They always go on and on about how it's not 100% etc etc. But honestly, with both the boys ultrasounds at this stage it was GLARINGLY OBVIOUS. The senographer who did Malakai's said that if he wasn't a boy she'd stop telling people the sex of their babies.
So bubs was very cooperative, stayed nice and still while she did all the exam stuff, checking the heart and measurements (unfortunately they were in agreement with 19wks gestation and didn't push me ahead at all which would have been nice!) and then when she went thru and showed us all the lovely profile shots/hands/feet etc bubs moved around enough to make us ooooh and ahhhh. I love it!
The senographer never asked if we wanted to know, and she seemed like she was finishing up so I thought - yikes, better ask her! Then she said she couldn't see anything...not because the cord was in the way, or because bubs wasn't in the right position...more because there was nothing there. And suddenly I realised just how much I'd built myself up into thinking it was going to be a boy...I WAS ALMOST DISAPPOINTED!!!!! (Talk about being contrary huh michelle?!)
But then she started saying they just never know for sure...blah blah...and they'd told someone it was a boy and it turned out to be a girl so it's just hard to tell...blah blah...and with girls it's always a little more difficult to determine...and with some boys it doesn't become clear until they're nearly born...blah blah
But Aaron's convinced (altho he was before, so that doesn't really count). And well, hey - looks like we might be having a girl after all!!
We'll let you know for sure around Christmas when she (?) arrives ;)

You had me on the edge of my seat!! I remembered this arvo that you were going to have the ultrasound so I checked your blog 3times since then. Lol How exciting!! They said exactly the same thing to us with Alicia. With Daniel, they were 120% sure it was a boy. Haha. This arvo Leon said he really thinks you are having a boy and your going to call him something starting with "S" I'll tell you later the name he said! Don't ask me where he got that from!! Anyway, Girls are so beautiful and fun to shop for...
exciting, exciting, exciting. i know when they told us Audrey was a girl, as it got closer to the date i panicked and was convinced they were wrong and we were having a boy, and we hadn't thought of a name! but she was a girl, so all was good. ;-)
Great news! The told us the same with Olivia. "Can't see anything so they're 80% sure it's a girl"!!
So many happy *pink* thoughts for you!!!!!!!!
Great news, Kylee!!! I love shopping for little girls ... it's a real treat for me!!!
However, you know that you'll have to have another boy some time down the track ... you can't let a perfectly good name go to waste!!!
:oD
Thanks guys :) I think it's quite possible that I'll go thru a similar thing before it's born michelle! And Frances, I'm dying to know what that name was!! The name we had if it was a boy didn't start with 'S' tho...and Heather, I'm perfectly willing to let that name go to waste!!
I'm very excited about the prospect of buying lots of PINK!! ;)
