(I've added a collage of pics to tuesdays post too if ur interested)
Anyway...so I made it to work yesterday...
Wednesday 1.10.08
marked times tables tests and nearly fell asleep...like I mentioned - indescribably tired. Rang Aaron, went to bathroom, ate chocolate all in an attempt to wake up. Chatted with colleagues, relieved when they went on with their work so I could get on with mine ;) lol. we'd talk all day if we could!
PRAISE GOD - got second wind and marked a class set of listening tests. on a roll. lunch with colleagues. my wonderful mum brought me fresh ham salad sandwich and COKE :)
marked second class set of listening tests - WOO HOO. Only one set left. Realise my teaching partner had inadvertently taken them home with her...thankfully she's coming in for team meeting at 2pm and brings them with her. Team is gracious and doesn't mind if I mark and talk at same time. Get tests all marked!!!
Talk with teaching partner...tidy up...walk home and meet mum and boys half-way. So excited that I only have one set of SOSE tests to mark and all my test marking is finished!!
Spend some time with boys and Aaron. Thankfully mum has moved her cooking night to tonight this week so I grab my chance for a quick nap. Josh comes up and tells me dinner is ready. Pretends I'm the child and he's the parent - puts a pillow on me for a blanket and tells me to stay in bed and go to sleep or I'll get a smack...hmmmm...then stands at the foot of the bed waiting for me to go to sleep! lol! That's like the time he sat in a kids armchair at domayne and pretended to be daddy - leaned back and said, 'Where's my cup of tea?' which was just hilarious cause Aaron doesn't do that at all! And that's not how we put Josh to bed either :) but it was cute anyway!
Dinner is roast chicken and vegies - yummo :)
Put Kai to bed then Josh. Choose his 'news' for thursday at day care (so cute that they do news!!) He chooses a science book (the teacher in me is very proud). Read a book about saying thank you and pray with Josh before the long cuddle/kiss/patting/goodnight etc routine (which isn't that long, only a couple of minutes...but I'm falling asleep myself...)
Aaron has gone to HFG. I enlist mum's help marking the final set of SOSE tests. FREEDOM!!!
Have an early night.
Just a couple of photo's today: Josh finding playing with the blocks exhausting...
This is my 'prayer' chair. I just recently got the idea to ask Aaron to put one of these chairs upstairs next to my side of the bed. I feel very spoiled to have this space. I've read before that some people have 'prayer baskets' and that's where they keep their list of things they're praying for, reminders of people and other prayer things and they keep it with them when they're having their devotional time. Well my prayer basket is the bottom drawer of my bedside table. Very handy :) it's also very handy having my box of tissues nearby ;)
