lol - just measured bump and it's now 117cm! Seems to be growing 3cm each week...wow.
All is quiet around here now, praise God. We've had a busy day, finishing up ALL the final shopping/wrapping for Christmas (it seems like such a big job and we don't even get into it much). Aaron made the Christmas puddings, so they're hanging out to dry and I just (at 10pm) sat down after putting the last of the shortbread in the oven...mmm...it's smelled so good around here today.
We've also finished the tree, set up our new nativity set (can you tell I've got a bit of a thing for nativity sets?!) and talked more with Josh about Santa. He asked me today how Santa got to his day care Christmas party last thurs and it was a great opening to talk about the whole thing some more. We've had 2 different people so far (strangers) in the shops ask him if he's been a good boy for Santa...his response both times was kinda not knowing what they were talking about at first and then saying that Santa is just a story. He still loves Santa, and most especially his reindeer and we keep it all positive cause it really is a nice story - but we don't do presents from Santa and of course our focus for Christmas is celebrating Jesus' birth and why He came.
I am super keen to have baby now. I'm getting into that unpleasant stage of not being able to sleep much and aching all over. I'm not complaining, honest! Cause I know I've had it relatively easy compared to some. But I am getting really excited too :) and just wanna meet her (and make sure it really IS a 'her'! lol)
Her room is absolutely empty except for the cot that isn't set up yet and the bassinette that needs to be moved into our room when she's born. I had such wonderful dreams of her room being perfectly set up before she was born. Basically that's just not gonna happen :(
at least Malakai's curtains are done and hanging up. So he's been sleeping later than 6am for a little while now - the sun was shining so bright into his room each morning he would literally wake with the dawn. Believe me that was the only reason I chose to make curtains for him so close to Christmas and baby being due.
Oh wow I am waffling on something shocking. I really am experiencing baby brain so bad this time!
Will post some pics of the Questacon members night we went to last thurs next time, and maybe even get adventurous and take pics of our Christmas stuff around the house :)
