running away

just now Josh snuck downstairs when he should have been in bed. When I got cross with him, he put his hands on his hips and told me,

'Mum, when I grow up, when I turn 6 - I am going to leave this house.'

I couldn't help but smile, our first 'I'm running away' threat!

As we walked up the stairs together for him to get into bed, he tells me where he's going to run away to (firstly our suburb, then our city lol).

So I say to him as we walk through his bedroom door, 'Why don't you just go now then?' really nicely, cause I was trying not to make a big deal out of it. He turns around, looks at me and says,

'I don't know how to drive yet'.
