love traditions

Have you ever read the story of the couple that used to leave random notes of 'SHMILY' around the place? It means See How Much I Love You and Aaron and I do now too. It's really cute to find each other's little reminders around the place every now and then.

We also have another saying that we made up before we were married, which has become sort of like a friendly competition as to who will say it first each day. Of course Josh has picked up on it and now tries to say it as well (it's a bit of a long sentence so he just kinda mumbles - it's very cute).

This posed a dilemma for me tho. I really would rather that it stayed as a special 'mummy and daddy' thing (not because it would be inappropriate for him to use it, but just cause I wanted to keep it as our special thing). So I told Josh that this morning. He got quite upset :(

Then I reminded him that our special saying is that I love you to the moon and back (not very original huh!). But it just didn't have the same effect...so I was thinking - what do we do??

Thankfully I managed to come up with a saying that sounds similar to the one Aaron and I use, but is slightly different and special for Josh. He loved it! And I was very relieved.

We have a special hand squeeze that we do when we want to say 'I love you' without anyone else knowing, as well as giving each other the folded over chips out of a packet as 'love chips' - these are just family fun things that we really enjoy. I especially love seeing Josh and Kai's faces light up and hearing them say, 'love chip!' when I give them one!!

Yep, we're a little daggy, but we're having fun!
Anyone else wanna share some of the cute things they do?
