New thing

I finally relented and bought an app so I can blog from the iPad...this is my first practice post :)

So the first week of school holidays is over. We've been to floriade, which was ok but I didn't think it was as good as some other previous years. We also had a nice visit with another family whose hubby is also home over the holidays, as well as a couple of nice days just enjoying being at home. I'm loving that.

It's also been a bit of a sad week for me, I received news early in the week that a friend I knew from Canada had died in a car accident. She was the same age as me, had just celebrated her birthday actually. Tragic. Life is so precious and fragile. Then a dear man I used to work with also passed away from cancer. Both their funeral/memorial services ended up being on my birthday. It's a sobering experience attending a funeral on your birthday, but I was very much comforted that he knew God and was ready to meet Him. I also spoke at our youth service that same day, so it was quite a different birthday this year.

Well, I might not write much more in case there are any glitches with posting using this app. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
