Mogo Zoo

On saturday 8th Dec our church youth had their breakup for the year. We're considered a little old for the youth but nevertheless still went to the breakup anyway! It was a mystery tour thing and we ended up at Mogo Zoo (something like 1.5hrs from Canberra). Of course Josh LOVED it and so did the rest of us. It was an awesome day.

We got to feed the kangaroos and reindeer and saw the white tigers. They were very active and 'chased' the children as they ran alongside the enclosure.

While we were watching the monkeys the kids all took their shoes off and got their feet wet. That went really well with no one falling in or any other dramas...except as we were leaving that area both Josh and Sarah fell in the mud! It was so funny, cause we'd been so careful with them before (and Josh had gotten in trouble for walking in puddles earlier...!) Thankfully since Josh is now almost totally toilet trained we had the customary 'spare' set of clothes and Nigel was really helpful getting him cleaned. No drama at all.

Josh has done so well with his toilet training. I am so excited and relieved that we've finally reached this stage with him! No more nappies! YAY!!!

Trouble is...he's really getting grown up and altho I'm excited...there's a part of me that wishes it wasn't going quite so fast :o(

Malakai is rolling over too! He started tues this week 11th while Josh was talking on the phone with his grand dad so I missed the first roll! Then it was like he was a 'stealth' roller cause he'd roll only while I wasn't looking! But he's been going crazy rolling since then and it's really cool except he gets stuck and frustrated after a while cause he can't roll back yet.

More later...
