I just wrote...

...the date for the first time this year!! It always takes me a while to get used to the new date ;)

I have been reading Ali Edwards' blog for a while now and getting her newsletter. She has this thing about having a word for the year. Her's is vitality this year. I like that. Made me think what would my word be. The first word that came to mind was abundance.

My inspiration was this scripture:

(Jesus speaking)...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

One thing that makes me think of abundant life is 'living in the moment'. I have read that so many times, and honestly have always kinda dismissed it, thinking of course I live in the moment.

But do I really? I'm not living in the moment when I'm doing something with Josh and thinking about everything else I should be doing instead :) (plenty more examples that I won't bore you with)

The more I think about it, the more I realise I could live in the moment so much more. And the more I live in the moment, the more I want to.

We welcomed in the New Year SO quietly this year. Sitting together on the couch at home. Boys asleep upstairs. It was wonderful.

The laundry is getting painted today!! I'M SO EXCITED!!! That means the dryer will be up on the wall within the week too...so exciting.

Then this afternoon Aaron is taking me to afternoon tea at the Hyatt. :) Lovin it
