24 things I love about Malakai at 24 months

  1. his quirky sense of humour
  2. the way he adds 'ah' to the end of nearly everything he says at the moment...no-ah, yes-ah (at least he says yes sometimes now!) see-ah, down-ah, mummy-ah and so on and on and on
  3. his OCD tendencies. Has to shut open doors, put lids on, clean up messes (but has no problem making the mess in the first place lol)
  4. squeezy cuggles with daddy at the dinner table every night
  5. the way he growls as he says 'amen' and 'yes mummy'
  6. the way he says 'noo-night' at bedtime
  7. his delight at sitting on the toilet even tho he doesn't do anything :(
  8. the way he misses Josh when he's at school
  9. his love for teddy bears, and the way he calls them 't-bear'
  10. how much he loves music and always wants to dance
  11. that he calls music 'Jonah' cause when he was learning about music we were in a Jonah CD groove and so he thinks that 'Jonah' is the word for music...weird I know
  12. the way he giggles when I tickle him with kisses on his neck
  13. that he's communicating so much more and seems way more interested in talking these days
  14. that he says thank you without prompting (well, not ALL the time!)
  15. that he now says 'photo' and actually lets us take some of him as long as he gets to look at them in between - YAY! (edited: this was a passing phase and doesn't happen anymore!)
  16. that sometimes he'll ask for a smack...!
  17. the dimple in his right cheek
  18. his chubby little fingers
  19. the way he says 'brave' when i cut his fingernails
  20. that he says sorry in a sing-song voice and doesn't sound like he means it one bit
  21. his uncoordinated running style!
  22. that he's started yelling MUMMY when he sees me and running up for a cuddle
  23. that he showed me I could absolutely love another child just as much as if he were my only child
  24. the way he tells us to pray at the table and always wants me to read the bah-ble (bible) and sings hallelujah and 'pwaise the LORD'
What a priceless blessing from God he is to us. He's asleep now and his 2nd birthday is nearly over. I remember back to when he was born and thank God...for everything.
